Engagement Shoot at Tokai Forest and Llundudno Beach – Jessica & Jarryd
Jessica & Jarryd decided to fly to Cape Town from America for their wedding. Jarryd grew up in Cape Town and Jessica fell in love with our beautiful city when they visited over the Christmas holidays. I met up with them for their engagement shoot a few days before their big day so that they would be comfortable in front of the camera on their wedding day.
We started their shoot with some family pictures with their little boy, and he completely charmed his way into my heart. They are such an awesome little family!
After we had finished with the little man’s photoshoot, granny took him home for a nap, and we started with the rest of their engagement shoot. We decided to take advantage of the beauty that the Cape has to offer, and spent some time in Tokai Forest wandering amongst the pine trees.
Jessica’s hair and makeup were expertly done by Natalie – it really is worth scheduling your wedding day trial with your make up artist for the same day as your engagement shoot!
A little later, we headed over the mountain towards Llundudno Beach. As we drove down towards Hout Bay, I noticed that a thick mist had rolled in, and my heart skipped a beat. We were in for some amazing, unique images, and we were also blessed with an empty beach. We had scheduled this session in time for some sunset pictures, but I believe that Mother Nature knew better, and I am absolutely in LOVE with how these turned out! I also love the way that their choice of wardrobe works so well with the colours of the mist, sand and sea.
